AAAM Board Certification Courses are currently eligible to licensed physicians of all specialties. The courses are offered in three parts described below, culminating in AAAM Board Certification. Each Level must be completed in order, compulsory, regardless of knowledge or experience level.
AAAM Board Certification is a teaching and education program, and is not a license to practice. It is the highest profiled scientific program regarded worldwide, taught by faculty who are experts in their field. Becoming AAAM Board Certified provides physicians with the highest profile to practice the art and science of aesthetic medicine anywhere in the world. Nevertheless, a medical license delivered by the local health authorities in any country in which you are practicing is mandatory.
Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Three-day Certificate course includes:
Scientific lecture, live demonstration and hands-on training in the basics of Aesthetic Medicine.

After course completion, you are designated, Certified, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, and you are awarded a Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine, endorsed by the American Academy of Aesthetic medicine (AAAM).
Pre-requisite: Successful Completion of Level 1 Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine
Five-day Diploma Course includes:
Scientific lecture, live demonstration and hands-on training in more advanced procedures in Aesthetic Medicine.

After course completion, you are designated Diplomate, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and you are awarded a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine, endorsed by AAAM.
Pre-requisite: Successful Completion of Level 2 Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine, 6 months of aesthetic medicine practical
Upon completion of Level 2, and after six months of practical experience in Aesthetic Medicine, the Diplomate is eligible to take a two-hour multiple-choice Board Certification exam. If a passing grade of 70% is achieved, participants advance to an oral examination assessing proficiency in several areas of Aesthetic Medicine.
As part of the Oral Examination, Board candidates will be provided two patient cases to assess and recommend a treatment plan to two senior AAAM faculty. These patient cases are provided on-site, and Board Candidates are provided time to review the cases
The Board Certification Exams are a one to two-day commitment based upon the number of Board candidates. After successful completion of both the written and oral examination, and receipt of the signed Diplomate certificate from the Board, a physician is designated, Board Certified in Aesthetic Medicine , American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
